For Immediate Release: July 27, 2015

Democratic Candidate for Monroe County Executive Sandy Frankel released the following statement regarding Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Rochester this morning:

“Today’s announcement of over a half-billion dollars coming to Rochester with the formation of the American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics marks a truly historic and monumental day for our community.

I would like to offer my deep gratitude to President Obama and Vice President Biden, Governor Andrew Cuomo, Senator Schumer and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter as well as Assemblyman Joe Morelle and other local leaders, all of whom provided tremendous leadership that will have a significant impact on our community for decades to come.

With today’s announcement, Rochester has taken a major step towards fostering the innovation and growth that put it on the map so many years ago. If elected County Executive, I look forward to being able to work with leaders in the field of photonics to bring good paying and secure jobs back to Rochester and lead our county in a new direction.

Democratic candidate for Monroe County Executive Sandy Frankel released the following statement regarding the first quarter campaign filing:

“Since I began my campaign for County Executive, the voters of Monroe County have told me time and again that they are ready for our community to take a new direction. A new direction from decades of corruption and mismanagement in county government. While my opponent, Cheryl Dinolfo has been distancing herself from the Brooks administration, her most recent fundraising filing proves that her campaign is nothing but the same old Republican song and dance, with a myriad of Maggie’s handpicked cronies supporting Cheryl with thousands of dollars in campaign donations."
